Brian D. Van Pelt



As a Supervisor at Vallit Advisors, Brian Van Pelt provides business valuations for estate and gift tax, owner disputes, marital property divisions, and financial reporting purposes. Brian also consults clients on a variety of complex litigation matters such as intellectual property infringement, contract disputes, trade secrets, commercial damages, shareholder oppression, and lost profits analyses. Brian’s role in various valuation and litigation engagements involves financial analysis and the development of comprehensive written reports, as well as assisting expert witnesses with deposition and trial preparation. In addition, Brian is a member of Vallit’s Technical Standards Committee.

Brian has experience providing business valuations for corporate finance and estate and gift tax planning purposes for a diversified and broad range of private and public companies in the manufacturing, professional services, financial advisory, oil and gas, food production, technology, consumer products, healthcare, and real estate development industries. He has performed valuations for a wide variety of engagements, including financial reporting, incentive stock options, capital formation, recapitalizations, Employee Stock Ownership Plans, restricted stock, intellectual property, and purchase price allocations. Brian also has experience working as an Equity Analyst where he provided valuation and equity recommendations of publicly traded US equities.
