As a partner at Vallit Advisors, Kris has over 20 years’ of experience, the last 15 of which, have been solely focused on dispute consulting, forensic accounting and business valuation as well as expert witness testimony in complex litigation matters. He frequently presents to local and regional organizations. Mr. Hallengren is focused on providing valuation and forensic services as well as expert testimony in a wide variety of complex litigation matters. Mr. Hallengren is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) by the American Society of Appraisers, Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Kris has been qualified and testified in court and/or deposition as an expert witness in nearly 60 bench and jury trials as well as arbitrations involving shareholder disputes, marital dissolution, intellectual property, economic damages and white collar criminal defense, as well as a variety of other disputes. In addition, he has served as a court-appointed expert.

  • Provided deposition and trial testimony in a trade secret misappropriation jury trial resulting in a favorable damage award
  • Valued a $250 million business for purposes of settlement negotiations with the US government in an eminent domain case
  • Allocated the active vs. passive appreciation of a pre-marital business interest which appreciated from $2 million to $32 million dollars during the course of a marriage
