Grace Theriot Reflects on Vallit Internship
Throughout one’s college career, internships are a great way to gain real-world experience and shape students both personally and professionally. At Vallit Advisors, we’re always looking for driven and passionate individuals who are looking to gain experience at our firm and we take our responsibility to provide these individuals with valuable experience seriously.
Recently, Grace Theriot, a finance major at Marist College, completed an internship with our team at Vallit Advisors where she gained valuable experience with valuation and litigation cases, seeing them evolve from start to finish. Looking back at the experience, Grace quickly realized that the team’s offer to “ask them anything” was not just a courteous comment. Everyone on the team was willing and ready to answer any questions she had about the field. Analysts would allow her to message them at any time with questions and would even get on a call to provide guidance in further detail. Partners and analysts at all levels would also provide answers to any questions she had and allow her to offer her input on case issues. Seeing her own ideas implemented in valuations and litigations was a highlight of Grace’s time with Vallit.
In her testimonial, Grace recounted having jitters on her first day that were immediately calmed with the help of everyone in the office. She was greeted by Managing Member, Mark Norris, who gave her a tour of the office and introduced her to the entire team.
